Can I pre-book a single room and/or tent for my trip?
We offer both single hotel rooms and single tents for a supplementary cost (depending on availability) for most of our trips.
Do you cater for special diets?
Whilst we routinely cater for vegetarians, we cannot provide special diets. It is possible to accommodate certain dietary requirements in some place.
Can I get a VISA on arrival?
Yes, you can obtain your entry visa at the Kathmandu airport upon arrival or at a consulate in your home country.
Should I bring my own medicine?
Please consult your local doctor and follow his advice. However, if particular medicines, do bring those.
What happens in the event of an emergency?
On trek, a helicopter will be summoned which will take a maximum of 6 hours to reach you.
How much currency will I need?
You will need very little during the activity phases of the holiday: says USD 250 this should be carried in small denominations as change is hard to come by in the villages.
Can I drink the water in the trip?
Local mineral water is also provided and is safe to drink.
Can I avail the facility of phone/fax/e-mail in Nepal?
Yes, in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. Neither phone nor fax is available while on trek.
What’s the situation for charging camera batteries whilst on my trip?
Depending on the type of camera you have, we suggest taking a couple of spare batteries. In some mountain areas, e.g. the Khumbu (Everest region) in Nepal, there are opportunities to charge batteries (in lodges – for a small fee).
What types of vehicles are used for transfers? Are they air-conditioned?
Our fleet consists of both a/c and non a/c vehicles of Japanese cars, mini vans and coaches.
Are the tourists given a city orientation tour as a part of their transfer?
The transfer is not an orientation tour of the city.
